Again I am up to combining themes… this week We Drink/Pixel adventures is looking for photos on plants or flowers and Ailsa at Where’s My Backpack is looking for wild…
Here is my contribution…
Some lovely thistles… can you spot the bee?
Dandelion ~ Author Unknown ~
There was a dandelion,
With lovely, fluffy hair,
That glistened in the sunshine,
And in the summer air.
And oh! This pretty dandelion
Soon grew old and grey,
And, sad to tell!
Her charming hair,
Blew many miles away.
Not sure what these were and they are the only ones I saw in the area. They were so tiny, but ever so cool.
Be sure to follow the links to see more or post your own 🙂
Stay tuned…

Beautiful close-ups I love them! Thx for the bouquet for Pixelventures!
Thanks… I was close up to that thistle and then accidentally hit the enlarge button when I was posting this and saw the large bug camouflaged there… Good thing I didn’t get too close or it may have landed on me!
Sometimes things are just meant to be…and circumstance gives us a gift!
🙂 It was a surprise indeed!
Lovely dandelion! I get the combination thing! Nice work !
Thanks…
Combining themes does make life easier sometimes… Or at least enables me to post on each theme. 🙂
Me too sometimes!
🙂
I love dandelions…your picture and poem have reinforced my reasons why!
Thanks. I remembered that poem from supply teaching… I thought it fit perfectly. Glad I could find it on the Internet to add to this post.
Dandelions are best when not in your yard 😉 they are interesting to photograph.
Looking at their form the mystery plant has to be an orchid?
I am not sure… They were growing off to the side of a road… But they are too pretty to be a weed.
Thanks for helping me try to figure out what they are.
Yes wild orchids will grow any place!
Thanks…. Learned something new today 🙂
I was looking for your reply to this one Gilly…knew you’d have an answer for it.
🙂
🙂
I DID spot the bee! Lovely wild things 🙂
After I noticed another large bug camouflaged on the thistle too!
Thanks for visiting 🙂
Yes! One on the left most thistle. Isn’t that a stink bug?! And something hovering on the right, haha. He had to get into the act.
😉
yes flying in…. wait for me 😉 !!!
Lovely images! I love the dandelion’s closeup 🙂
Thanks… they are beautiful except when in your yard 😉
