Look what I found in the refrigerator this morning. I had to do a double take. As I rubbed my tired, bleary eyes I could swear some eyes were looking back at me!!!Ā Certainly not what I expected. It was a little something ‘extra’.
My class went to a large vegetable farm this week and we picked some carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, green peppers and eggplant. They were delicious in my salad. I hadn’t used all the green pepper and this is what is left.
This week’s photo challenge from WordPress is asking for ‘extra extra’. Something in a photo that gives it a little extra, something unexpected and only you could capture. It was quite a challenging theme, but I think this fits the bill. Could I ever find something like this again? Could I cut another pepper in just the right way? Probably not. Funny because I usually place the pepper upside-down on a plate, but for some reason this time I didn’t. I may have never noticed the cool pattern if I had.
What does it look like to you? Add your suggestions in the comments below.
On a side note don’t forget my Tourist in Your Own Town theme. The challenge for June is Festivals and Events. Click here to see an example and get inspired.
Stay tuned…
Kermit!
It does look like a frog doesn’t it?
Thanks for visiting
Too cute! š
It is isn’t it… almost too cute to eat š
Hahahaha, ribbit ribbit. š
My first thought too! It does look like a big happy frog.
Crazy Frog! http://vimeo.com/21644999
Thanks for the crazy frog link… too funny. I think everyone is in agreement it looks like a frog. š
I, too, agree! Definitely a very cool frog(from being in the refrigerator) !! You certainly captured the perfect picture with something extra!
Ha HA cool frog š It just shows us again that mother nature does have a silly sense of humour š
Mother Nature definitely has a silly side…ice storms in April? A good example!!
ice storms … that is just mean though š
Good you linked to your travel theme, somehow I’ve missed the June one. Lucky my last post was a perfect match for the theme!
I just was over there checking it out. Thanks for the link and participating. I posted the original post June 1, but seems not a keen interest in this challenge, or last month’s theme. š¦ so I wanted to add a reminder to stir up interest or remind others who may have forgotten.
Thanks again for showing us your very busy day. You did some really great things. How nice they are free that day.
Fun extra. Great capture, CT š Enjoy the weekend!
Thanks Amy. It was really cute… those big eyes and smiling mouth. Mother nature couldn’t have planned it better.
Too cute..yes a frog indeed!
Thanks… couldn’t have planned that frog shot no matter how I tried. That was all chance and mother nature š
How cool! Yes! A froggy! š
Yes a cute frog… everyone see the little smiling frog.
When you have seen something in a pic like that, it’s hard to change your eyes and see something else. I think the eyes were the most froglike
I liked the big grin too š
Yes! Me too!
Oooo…a scary green monster in your fridge! Is that not cool!
Ha Ha! I just said everyone sees a cute smiling frog… I was waiting for someone to see something different š
I’m going to a comics fest in a few hours, hope to get some interesting photos for you!
Oh that sounds like fun! Enjoy.
It was … and I did!
Looking forward to hearing about it.
š
Sorry, for the last comment, I anticipated myself on the wrong post!
I do like singing outside the choir. With the white seeds it didn’t look at all like a frog to me … frogs don’t have teeth, which they looked like to me!
If you look closely there is a little green piece inside too… looks like a worm or wild tongue š I am glad you were different. Made it more fun!
Lol…wish everyone felt that way…missed the tongue though!
It was very small. Maybe in the photo it was harder to spot, but I could see it in person so I knew where to look š
š
Ribbit….
So far it has been all frog… and 1 monster š
Thanks for stopping by.
That is amazing! Looks like a Frog just waiting to be kissed and turn into a Prince.
Oh never thought of the kiss! You are a true romantic.
Thanks for stopping over.
LOL CTB, you sure got people talking with this one š excellent!!
Thanks Tina, it certainly got a lot of attention.
You sliced that just right and I can almost hear Miss Piggy calling to Kermie…
LOL… that will be the next veggie or fruit I slice š
